Recap ("the App") is a language learning flashcard app built with your privacy in mind. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All your data stays on your device.
All flashcard data, decks, learning progress, and settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. None of this data is sent to our servers or any third party.
The App does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no user authentication and no personal information is collected.
The App includes a QR code scanner to import flashcard sets. The camera is only accessed when you actively use the scanner, and no images or video are stored or transmitted. The scanned URL is used solely to download a flashcard CSV file to your device.
The App uses Apple's on-device Translation framework to translate flashcard content. Translations are processed locally on your device and are not sent to external servers.
The App does not include any analytics or tracking SDKs.
The Recap website (recap.cards) uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic. This only applies to the website, not the App.
The App does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.
